    , Douglas H. Palmer, Mayor, 10x8. Presented to Edie Adams in 1991 "in memory of Ernie Kovac's Trenton's Native Son." Wood scratched at lower center. Otherwise, fine condition.
    2) Distinguished Alumna Award
    , Tenafly High School, Class of 1945, 9x12. Presented to Edie Adams in 1988: "Her life has helped to make a real difference to many people."
    3) Men's Club Infants Home of Brooklyn - Annual Award, Outstanding TV Personality of the Year
    (Ernie Kovacs, 1957), 10x13. Brass is scratched, rubbed and soiled.
    4) Newspaper Guild of New York Page One Ball
    (1964), 10½h, 5½w, 3d: "in grateful appreciation to Edie Adams",
    Lightly tarnished. Otherwise, fine condition. Singer and comedian
    EDIE ADAMS
    , born Elizabeth Edith Enke (1927-2008), who appeared on TV's popular
    Ernie Kovacs Show
    in the early 1950s, was married to Kovacs from 1954 until his death in 1962.
    Known to television audiences for her commercials for Muriel Cigars,
    she also appeared in several feature films, including
    The Apartment
    (1960) and
    The Best Man
    (1964). Adams, who received a
    Tony Award
    as Daisy Mae in
    Li'l Abner
    (1955), portrayed Mae West in a TV biography of her late husband,
    Ernie Kovacs: Between the Laughter
    (1984). Comedian, actor, author, composer and producer
    ERNIE KOVACS
    (1919-1962, born Ernest Edward Kovacs in Trenton, New Jersey)
    pioneered the use of blackouts, trick photography and satire in television.
    The wise-cracking, cigar-smoking Kovacs starred in
    The Ernie Kovacs Show
    (1952-1953, 1955-1956) and
    The New Ernie Kovacs Show
    (1961-1962), and he made many guest appearances on other TV variety shows. Kovac's
    film credits include
    Bell, Book and Candle
    (1958),
    It Happened to Jane
    (1959),
    North to Alaska
    (1960) and
    Sail a Crooked Ship
    (1961). He was only 42 when he was killed in an automobile accident in 1962.
